Out with the old~In with the new

Good night old man time~ Good day baby new

So long to social distancing~ hello to ????

What ever your family says when one year ends and a new year begins I think we would all agree that 2020 was one for the books!  Who would of guessed that  on January 1, 2020 that the world would be facing a pandemic, food shortage, loss jobs, loss lives, the wearing of mask wherever you go, closing of businesses and churches; and let's not forget a toilet paper shortage! Crazy right??

As tragic as it all was what blessings did we receive?  Now you may be thinking: ok she's crazy to be asking about blessings!  How can there be blessings in loss wages, jobs, homes and lives??  But wait a minuet... let's stop and think about this.  We were able to slow our lives down, spend time together as a family, sit down to eat dinner together, enjoy activities outside as a family with parents and children!

No for a while there we were unable to attend church in person, but did that stop God?  Did God abandon us because we could not gather in His house of worship? Absolutely not!! Our Heavenly Father is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!  He promises to never leave His children, especially in our darkest hours He is our rock, our comfort, our protector.

While it has been and may continue to be extremely hard on our elders who may be home alone, in nursing homes or hospitals without the comfort of loved ones close by; and the front line health care workers are struggling to keep up; they are not alone God is with us all.  Our hearts and prayers go out to each and every one of them for comfort and peace.

I pray that each of you have  a blessed new year, that you may see the blessing in every situation, that you will be filled with a renewed spirit for the Lord and full of love and peace.

Happy New Year Sisters!
